Jutta Koether will discuss the work of Agnes Martin. Established in 2001, the Artists on Artists Lecture Series highlights the work of contemporary artists from the perspective of their colleagues and peers, and focuses on artists in Dia's collection and exhibition programs. Lectures take place at 535 West 22nd Street, 5th floor between 10th and 11th Avenues in New York City.

Jutta Koether was born in 1958 in Cologne. During a career that has spanned more than twenty-five years, she has become a well-known painter, performance artist, musician, and critic. Koether has exhibited extensively at international venues, including Dundee Contemporary Arts, Scotland and Arnolfini, Bristol (2013); São Paulo Bienal, Brazil (2012); Whitney Biennial, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York (2012); Tate Modern, London (2012); Moderna Museet, Stockholm (2011); Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven (2009); and Kunsthalle Bern, Bern, Switzerland (2007). Koether is a professor at the Hochschule für bildende Künste (HfbK) in Hamburg. She lives in Berlin and New York.
