The Silk Routes represent one of the most marvelous phenomena in Eurasian history. Li Zhang employs recent and eye-opening archaeological discoveries to explore the circulation and interaction of people, objects, and customs among different Chinese societies and other regions of Eurasia over the course of several millennia. Li Zhang is a post-doctoral scholar at the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World, New York University. She received her PhD from the department of archaeology and museology at Peking University, and works on the archaeology and art of early China, as well as the interactions between early China and the other parts of Eurasia.
